Snorbliss® is a mandibular advancement device (MAD), an anti-snoring mouthpiece you mold to your own bite at home. You soften it in hot water, bite down to create a personal dental impression, then attach one of four numbered straps that hold your lower jaw slightly forward while you sleep.

It is one size, unisex, for adults 18 and over, reusable for about six months, and FDA-cleared as a Class II medical device under 510(k) number K261251. The full name on the clearance is Snorbliss® Anti-Snoring Device, model Pro 2.0.

Snoring is a mechanical problem. As the muscles of your throat relax during sleep, the airway narrows; air has to move faster through the gap, and the loose tissue of the soft palate and uvula flutters, the way a flag does in the wind. That flutter is the sound.

Holding the lower jaw slightly forward pulls the tongue and soft tissue forward with it, which helps keep that airway open. More room means calmer airflow, and calmer airflow means less vibration to hear. It is the same principle behind the custom appliances dental clinics make.

Most often because the airway narrows during sleep: relaxed throat muscles, the tongue falling back, or anatomy such as a smaller lower jaw, enlarged tonsils or a deviated septum. Nasal congestion, alcohol, sedatives and weight all make it worse, and there is a genetic component too.

It is worth knowing that snoring is not just an overweight-middle-aged-man problem. Slim people snore. Women snore too, often because the jaw falls back, and more commonly during pregnancy and after menopause. A jaw-based cause is exactly what this kind of device addresses; a congestion-based cause may respond better to something else.

No. Snorbliss® is intended to aid in the reduction of snoring. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent sleep apnea or any disease, and central sleep apnea is one of the conditions listed under “do not use.”

Snoring and obstructive sleep apnea are not the same thing, even though they overlap. If you snore loudly and also gasp or choke in your sleep, wake up unrefreshed, get morning headaches, or feel exhausted during the day, that belongs with a doctor rather than with a mouthpiece. We would rather lose the sale than blur that line.

Probably, if your snoring is jaw-and-airway related, which is the most common kind. Less likely if your snoring is driven mainly by nasal congestion, or if severely misaligned teeth stop the tray from seating properly.

No mouthpiece works for everyone, and any brand that promises otherwise is overselling. That is why you get 60 nights to find out and a refund if it isn’t working for you.

It is FDA-cleared, which is a different pathway, and we are deliberate about the wording. Snorbliss® holds 510(k) clearance K261251, granted on 11 June 2026, as a Class II over-the-counter intraoral device for snoring under 21 CFR 872.5570, product code LRK.

“FDA-approved” applies to a different category of products and does not apply to this device, so you will never see us use it, no matter how good it would look on a banner.

510(k) clearance means the FDA reviewed our device file and agreed it is substantially equivalent in safety and effectiveness to a device already legally on the market for the same purpose. Class II is the moderate-risk medical device category that snoring mouthpieces fall into. Over-the-counter means no prescription is needed.

One detail worth knowing: the clearance is held in our own company’s name, Endeavor Commerce, LLC, and not licensed from another manufacturer’s file. The K-number is public, so you can look it up in the FDA’s 510(k) database rather than taking our word for it.

Independent biocompatibility testing on the finished device, to the ISO 10993 series: no cytotoxic potential (ISO 10993-5), no irritation of oral mucosa tissue (ISO 10993-23) and no sensitization reaction (ISO 10993-10). Each test was run with both polar and non-polar extracts.

Beyond that: independent durability testing through 9,125 simulated bite cycles at 10 N with no damage; validated ultrasonic cleaning (ten minutes left no stains); and re-molding verification across three heat cycles with no cracking or loss of fit. The whole device was developed under an ISO 14971:2019 risk management process, with all residual risks evaluated as acceptable.

What we will not claim: “clinically proven.” This device type did not require a clinical trial for clearance, so that phrase would be misleading.

Do not use this product if you:

• are under 18 years old
• have central sleep apnea
• have asthma, emphysema, COPD or other serious breathing problems
• have loose or badly damaged teeth, mouth sores, bleeding gums or serious gum disease
• have had a dental implant within the last 3 months
• wear braces, full dentures or other fixed dental devices while sleeping
• have jaw joint (TMJ) problems

If you have any existing dental or orthodontic condition (loose teeth, gum disease, a recent implant, braces, dentures, bite problems or jaw/TMJ issues), talk to a dentist or orthodontist before using it.

We would rather you read this here than discover it at 3 a.m. Use of the device may cause: excessive saliva production during sleep, jaw joint pain or fatigue, tooth or gum soreness, partial obstruction of oral breathing, and changes to your bite.

Most of these are mild and belong to the first few nights. Start on the lowest strap and let your mouth adapt gradually. That is what the strap protocol is for. If you experience difficulty breathing or any sleep-related problem after using the device, stop and consult a healthcare professional.

Two medical-grade plastics doing two different jobs. The clear bite trays are EVA. It softens in hot water, molds to your teeth, and stays gentle against them. The white frame and the four numbered straps are polypropylene with a titanium dioxide pigment: rigid, so it holds the jaw position and keeps its shape while the trays are being molded. Soft where it touches you, firm where it works.

There are no metal parts, no latex and no polycarbonate anywhere in the composition, and since BPA belongs to polycarbonate chemistry, it isn’t present. The finished device passed ISO 10993 biocompatibility testing for oral contact.

Five steps, roughly three minutes of actual work:

• Boil water and pour it into a mug. Holding the handle, submerge the mouthpiece for 90 seconds. Don’t let it touch the bottom or sides of the mug.
• Lift it out and let it cool 5-10 seconds, until it is comfortable to touch. It comes out hot; handle it carefully.
• With the upper side facing up, insert it in front of a mirror, position it on your teeth and bite down firmly for 60 seconds.
• Put it straight into cold water for 30 seconds to harden, then detach the handle.
• Attach strap (3), the lowest setting, and you are ready for your first night.

Boiling water and a pot, a mug, a cup of cold water, a mirror, and a timer or watch with seconds. Nothing else. The whole process takes about three minutes, and it is the only setup step there is.

You get more attempts. The device can be re-molded up to two more times after the initial fitting, three heat cycles in total. We verified that sequence in testing: after the full three cycles there were no cracks, tears, deformation, sharp edges or discolouration, the impression still formed and held, and strap attachment and fit stayed normal.

Inspect it after each attempt. If you still cannot get a fit you are happy with, email us instead of forcing it. That is what the 60 nights are for.

One size, unisex. Rather than picking from sizes designed for an average mouth, you create your own impression in hot water, so the fit is yours. It is designed to suit virtually any adult mouth, for ages 18 and over.

For reference, the device measures roughly 30 × 40 × 60 mm and weighs 20-30 grams.

Mild crookedness is generally fine, because the tray softens and forms around your own teeth, which is the whole point of a boil-and-bite fit. Severely misaligned teeth can prevent a proper impression, and no moldable mouthpiece will fully solve that.

The device comes with four interchangeable numbered straps. Each one holds your lower jaw a different distance forward, from a gentle 2 mm up to 7 mm. You swap straps rather than turning a screw, so the setting you chose is the setting you get every night, with no drift.

In order of strength, the straps go: (3) = 2 mm, then (4) = 4 mm, then (2) = 5 mm, then (1) = 7 mm. The number is printed on each strap, and the manual maps every number to its millimetres.

Always strap (3), the lowest setting at 2 mm, for your first few nights. Most people find (3) gives the best balance of comfort and effect and never need to move beyond it.

Never start on (1) or (2). Jumping straight to a strong advancement is the single most common reason people end up with a sore jaw and give up on a mouthpiece.

Only if two things are true after a few nights: your snoring is still there, and the device feels comfortable. Then move one step at a time, from (3) to (4) to (2) to (1), giving each setting a few nights before deciding.

Start low, go slow. If a stronger strap makes your jaw ache, drop back down; more advancement is not automatically better.

The device supports your airway from the very first night, and some people (or rather, their partners) notice a difference immediately. Realistically, give it about a week: the first nights are an adjustment period, and results are most consistent once your mouth has adapted.

A rough map of the first months:

• Night 1: possible immediate improvement, plus the strange-object feeling and extra saliva.
• Days 3 to 5: mild soreness that fades.
• Week 1: typically fully adapted.
• Month 6: time to replace the device.

During the first 3 to 5 days your lower jaw, teeth or gums may feel sore, tired or slightly painful, and you may produce more saliva than usual. This is a normal adjustment period and it usually improves with regular use.

Two things help: wear the device for about ten minutes before bed on your first few nights so your mouth gets used to it, and stay on the lowest strap until the soreness settles. If pain persists, or if you have TMJ problems, stop using it and consult a dentist or healthcare professional.

That was the whole reason this device exists. It is built low-profile, with the 50% less bulk claim printed on the pack, and it weighs 20 to 30 grams, because the mouthpieces people abandon are almost always the ones that feel like a mouthguard.

Expect a few nights of adjustment regardless. A custom impression plus the lowest strap setting is what makes the difference between “I forgot it was in” and “I took it out at 2 a.m.”

Yes. The design includes an oral breathing channel, so a mouth-breathing path stays open. It is worth noting that partial obstruction of oral breathing is listed among the possible side effects; if breathing feels difficult, stop using the device and speak to a healthcare professional.

No. Your mouth can open, since there is no hinge holding it shut, but you cannot talk and you cannot drink while wearing it.

Some brands advertise “talk and sip water.” That is not true of this device, and we are not going to borrow the claim.

Yes. Snorbliss® works best when you sleep on your side or your stomach. Sleeping on your back tends to let your mouth fall open, which can cause the device to slip out. Back-sleeping makes snoring worse anyway.

Braces, full dentures and other fixed dental devices worn overnight are contraindications, so do not use Snorbliss® with them. The same applies if you have had a dental implant within the last three months.

Clear aligners such as Invisalign are a different case: take them out before wearing Snorbliss®. It is never worn over aligners.

No. Snorbliss® is a snoring device. It was not designed, tested or cleared for bruxism, and using a snoring device as a grinding guard is not something we will recommend. If grinding is your main issue, buy a product made for it.

After each use: rinse with cold water, brush the whole mouthpiece gently with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste, rinse again with cold water, dry it, and store it in the case it came with. Soaking in a denture-cleaning solution is also fine.

Cold water, not hot. Hot water is for molding, and an unplanned hot rinse can soften the trays.

Both work. Ultrasonic cleaning was validated in independent testing: ten minutes in an ultrasonic cleaner left no stains on the device. Retainer cleaning foam is fine for daily use as well.

Replace it every 6 months of nightly use. Think of it like a toothbrush. Unopened shelf life is one year.

Replace it sooner if the fit has loosened, if you cannot get it properly clean, or if you see any damage.

In the storage case that comes in the box, in a cool, dry place, not on a sunny windowsill and not loose in a drawer. Dry it before it goes in the case.

No, for two reasons. It molds to one person’s bite, so a shared device fits neither of you properly. And sharing an intraoral device is a hygiene and cross-infection risk that we specifically designed the single-user rule around.

If you both snore, you each need your own.

Stop using it. Inspect the device before each use for contamination, cracks or deformation; if something looks wrong, clean it and look again, and if the problem is still there, don’t wear it. If a strap or any component cracks, loosens or breaks, replace the device. A small part coming loose in your mouth overnight is the risk we are avoiding here.

Yes. A faint ester-like scent from the EVA resin can be noticeable when the device is new, and it fades with cleaning and use. Give it a clean per the instructions before the first wear.

We are not going to greenwash this one. The frame and straps are polypropylene (resin code #5) and the trays are EVA, both conventional plastics, not biodegradable or compostable. Used oral-care devices generally aren’t accepted in curbside recycling either, so check your local rules before putting it in a bin it doesn’t belong in.
